A few items sold for more in good condition than new with tags: Wedding Dress ($220 in good condition, $133 new with tags), Coach Brooklyn ($225 in good condition, $144.50 new with tags), Carhartt Detroit Jacket ($130 in good condition, $85 new with tags), and Outdoor Voices Exercise Dress ($30.50 in good condition, $20 new with tags). These are the largest gaps in the data. The worn sales are most likely older or vintage versions sold under the same name, so treat them as a different item, not a sign that wear adds value. We have not checked this item by item.

How it is measured: median days from listing to sale, items with at least 15 cleaned sales.

How we measured

  • Data. 13,143 cleaned Poshmark sales of 319 items, pulled Oct 8-10, 2026.
  • Window. Sales from the last 12 months (all saved sales when an item had fewer than 8 in the last year).
  • Kept. Good-condition median / new-with-tags median, items with at least 5 sales in each.
  • Time to sell. Median days from listing to sale, items with at least 15 cleaned sales.
  • Poshmark only. Sales from other marketplaces and from thrift stores are not included.
  • Last listed price. If the seller accepted a lower offer, the real price may have been a little lower.
  • Cleaning. Kids' sizes, bundles, duplicates, other item types and price outliers were removed before any median was taken. How the cleaning works, and what it misses.
