What we collect
- Your email
- When you get a key or pay. Used to identify your key, send important account emails and answer support requests.
- Your API key and usage
- How many lookups your key makes each month, so we can apply your plan's limit.
- Searches
- The searches sent to the API and the demo, so we can cache results and see which items people look up. We don't sell them.
- IP address
- Used briefly, in memory, to rate-limit the keyless demo. Not stored with your account.
- Site visits
- Simple counts of page views and button clicks, tied to a random ID stored in your browser, not to your name. No ad trackers.
- Payments
- Handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription IDs so your plan stays in sync.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We don't email you marketing without asking.
Who else handles data
- Stripe processes payments.
- Fly.io hosts the server and database in the United States.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr serve the website's fonts and scripts, so they see your IP address when you load a page.
Your browser
The site stores a random visitor ID, your marketplace votes and, if you sign in to your account page, your API key in your browser's local storage, so you don't have to paste it again. Signing out removes the key. You can clear all of it in your browser settings.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep account data while your key exists. Email aarontian2010@gmail.com to get a copy of your data or to delete your account and key; we'll do it within 30 days. Billing records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and email paying customers.
